Cobbs Creek Foundation

It’s heartwarming to see Tiger Woods spreading love by getting involved in philanthropic efforts to help the people of Philadelphia. Last year, I was fortunate to be part of a group working with the Cobbs Creek Foundation in Philadelphia to create a similar partnership here in Minneapolis. Our project aimed to restore a world-class space for people to enjoy golf and other activities.

Tiger’s involvement in these initiatives is truly inspiring. In 1999, he and his father, Earl, came to Minneapolis to launch the First Tee program and learning center at Hiawatha Golf Course. Earl Woods also held various public events to promote parenting and families. It would be wonderful if Tiger could return to Minneapolis, perhaps with his own son, in the future.

As someone who is passionate about golf, I’m grateful for all the opportunities this intergenerational social sport has provided for me and others.
